Strawberry Butterfly

I was playing around in my craft room one evening just for fun and came up with this simple card.

  • Stamps: Woodgrain, A Dozen Thoughts
  • DSP: Modern Medley
  • Card Stock: Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Sky
  • Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Strawberry Slush
  • Accessories: Delicate Butterfly punch, Decorative Label punch, Strawberry Slush ruffle stretch ribbon, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Glue Dot
To make this card you will want to start off with a piece of Baked Brown Sugar card stock cut at 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” and scored at 4-1/4”. Next stamp the Woodgrain background stamp onto the card stock in Baked Brown Sugar ink.

Next cut a piece of Soft Sky card stock 3” x 4” and a piece of Modern Medley DSP 2-3/4” x 3-3/4”. Use the Delicate Butterfly punch and punch a butterfly from your DSP piece. Next use the Decorative Label punch to punch out the area where the butterfly outline is. Adhere the DSP piece onto the Soft Sky card stock with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Now sponge the edges of the DSP butterfly with Strawberry Slush ink and adhere the butterfly inside the Decorative Label window in the DSP with a Glue Dot. Add a large Rhinestone Basic Jewel into the center of the butterfly. Then simply wrap a piece of Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Trim around the card stock and tie it into a knot. Adhere this panel onto the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
