Raining Flowers

Doesn't this card just look so pretty and luxurious? Well it's easier than you think to put together.

  • Melon Mambo card stock 4-1/4" x 11"
  • Pink Pirouette card stock 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Vellum card stock 3-3/4" x 5"
  • Whisper White Organza Ribbon 15"
  • Stamps: Flower Shoppe, Lots of Thanks
  • Ink: Versamark, Rich Razzleberry
  • Accessories: Melon Mambo Blendabilities, White embossing powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Paper-Piercing Tool, Silver Mini Brads, Labels Framelit, XL Oval Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

To start off on this card take your piece of Vellum card stock and rub the embossing buddy over the entire thing. Now stamp the flower image from Flower Shoppe onto the Vellum in Versamark ink several times. Cover the stamped images with White embossing powder. Tap off the excess embossing powder then heat with your Heat Tool until shiny.

Now that you have the embossing done flip your Vellum card stock over to the side opposite the embossing. Color in the flowers from the backside with the Melon Mambo Blendabilities markers. Start off with the lighter color and work the darker shades in closer to the center of the flowers.

Now take this layer and place it on top of the Pink Pirouette card stock on top of your Stampin' Pierce Mat. Pierce a hole in all four corners of the Vellum card stock and add a Silver Mini Brad into each of the holes. Next fold your Melon Mambo card stock on the score line and adhere the flowers panel onto the card front with a few Stampin' Dimensionals. Wrap the Whisper White Organza ribbon around the card front and tie it into a knot. Use your Paper Snips to trim the ribbon ends into a dove-tail shape.

Stamp the greeting from Lots of Thanks onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock and punch it out with the XL Oval punch. Use the smallest Labels framelit on a scrap of Melon Mambo card stock. Glue the oval onto the label then stick this onto the card front with a couple Stampin' Dimensionals.

Now you're done! That wasn't so bad was it?
