Blue Dasher

I will be busy busy getting everything posted that I need to for the next couple of weeks. Not to mention making my long list of Christmas presents and actually getting them done BEFORE Christmas. Here is the first card from the November Make and Take:

Stamps: Dasher, Serene Snowflakes, All Holidays (retired), Lovely as a Tree
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake
Ink: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Versamark
Accessories: 1 1/4" Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon, Lots of Tags die, 2" x 1-3/8" Oval Punch, Ticket Corner Punch, Stampin' Sponge, Stampin' Dimensionals, Heat Tool, Pewter Embossing Powder, SNAIL adhesive

I don't know where my brain was when I was rushing to finish this sample for the Make and Take. I always try to use current products so the ladies can play with the new toys and order them if they like it. But I used not one, but two retired products on this card! Ooops! The greeting from All Holidays fit right in the label and the Night of Navy striped ribbon looked so good! So I went ahead and used the sample anyway, besides the fact that I didn't have time to make another one. I apparently need to do some serious organizing so I can make sure I use current products in the future.

The card base is Night of Navy card stock cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". Next a piece of Bashful Blue cardstock was cut at 4" x 5 1/4". The card stock was stamped with Serene Snowflakes in Bashful Blue ink to create a background pattern. A piece of 1 1/4" Night of Navy grosgrain ribbon was wrapped around the card stock and adhered to the back. This panel was adhered to the card front.

A piece of Very Vanilla card stock was cut at 1-7/8" x 2-3/8". The trees from Lovely as a Tree were stamped in Crumb Cake ink. Then Dasher was stamped in Versamark, covered with Pewter embossing powder, the excess tapped off, and heated with the Heat Tool. The corners were punched with the Ticket Corner punch and the edges were sponged with Bashful Blue ink. This was adhered to a Night of Navy panel cut at 2" x 2-1/2" that also had the corners punched with the Ticket Corner punch. This was then adhered to a 2-1/4" x 2-3/4" Crumb Cake panel with the corners punched with the Ticket Corner punch. This panel was adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Now for the greeting. A scrap piece of Night of Navy card stock was run through the Big Shot with the Lots of Tags sizzlit die. The greeting from All Holidays (retired) was stamped onto a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock in Night of Navy ink. The greeting was punched out with the 2" x 1-3/8" Oval punch. The edges of the oval were sponged with Bashful Blue ink and the oval was adhered to the Night of Navy label. The label was adhered to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by!
