Happy Birthday Cupcake - February Make and Take 1

I’m finally getting around to posting the cards from the February Make and Take. Last month we played with a few Occasions Mini and Sale-A-Bration products. The first of which was a card created with the Create A Cupcake stamp set and the Build A Cupcake punch. I just love this adorable little cupcake and all of the different ways you can decorate it! Anyway…here is the card that we made:

Stamps: Create A Cupcake
Cardstock: Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
DSP: Springtime Designer Series Paper
Ink: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Pretty in Pink
Accessories: Stampin’ Dimensionals, Pear Pizzaz Seam Binding ribbon, Mat Pack, Needle Tool, 2 3/8” Scalloped Circle Punch, Build A Cupcake Punch, Stampin’ Sponge, Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Die, Two-Way Glue Pen

The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. A piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock was cut at 1 ¾” x 5 ½” and adhered to the bottom of the card front. A piece of Springtime DSP was cut at 1” x 5 ½” and adhered to the card front just above the Pretty in Pink cardstock. Then the layered card front was run through the Big Shot in the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Die and the edges were sponged in Early Epsresso ink.

Next the 2 3/8” Scalloped Circle punch was used with a scrap of Early Espresso cardstock to punch out a large scalloped circle. The Needle Tool and Mat Pack were used to pierce holes between each of the scallops around the circle.

On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock the cupcake bottom was stamped in Crumb Cake ink and the cupcake top was stamped in Pretty in Pink ink. Both portions of the cupcake were punched out with the Build A Cupcake punch. A cherry was punched out of Real Red glimmer paper with the Build A Cupcake punch. The cupcake pieces and cherry were adhered to the Early Espresso scalloped circle with the Two-Way Glue Pen.

The greeting from Create a Cupcake was stamped in Early Espresso ink on the Pretty in Pink portion of the card front near the bottom. The Early Espresso scalloped circle was adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and a piece of Pear Pizzaz Seam Binding Ribbon was tied around the card and into a bow.

The ladies all really liked this adorable little cupcake which has inspired me to put together the Cupcake Card Class which you can find more information about HERE. Come back tomorrow and I will have the second card from the February Make and Take for you to see! Have fun stamping!
