Flowers for You - Februrary Make and Take 2

Today I have for you the second card that my guests made at the February Make and Take. This one uses brighter colors and wonderful two-step stamping flowers from the Awash with Flowers set. This card was inspired by Wendy Janson's card that you can find HERE. Take a look at the card that we made:

Stamps: En Francais, Awash with Flowers, Oval All
Cardstock: So Saffron, Whisper White, More Mustard
Ink: Peach Parfait, Basic Black, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive
Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Scalloped Oval Punch, 5/8” Marina Mist Grosgrain Ribbon, Paper Snips, Snail Adhesive, Stampin’ Dimensionals

The card base is 5 ½” x 8” So Saffron cardstock scored at 4 ¼”. The 4” wide portion will be your card front. The En Francais background stamp was used on the card front with Peach Parfait ink. A piece of Whisper White cardstock was cut at 1 ¼” x 5 ½” and one side was punched with the Eyelet Border Punch. This strip was adhered behind the card front so that just the decorative border shows on the right side of the card front.

Another piece of Whisper White cardstock was cut at 1 7/8” x 5 ½”. This cardstock was stamped with the flower outlines in Basic Black ink. The solid flower and leaf images were stamped in Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, and Old Olive ink. After the ink on all the flowers dried completely this panel was adhered to a piece of More Mustard cardstock cut at 2” x 5 ½”.

A short piece of 5/8” Marina Mist grosgrain ribbon was wrapped around the stamped panel and adhered to the back with some Snail adhesive. The loose end of the ribbon was trimmed with Paper Snips to form a dove-tail. Some more Snail adhesive was used to hold the loose ribbon end down to the card front.

The greeting from Oval All was stamped in Marina Mist ink on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and punched out with the Scalloped Oval punch. This was adhered over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals to finish off the card. That’s it! Hopefully I will have another post ready to share with you tomorrow. Come back to find out! Have fun stamping!
