Calypso Coral Petite Purse

Are you ready to see something really cute? Well this adorable little purse is the 3D item that we made at the April Make and Take!

  • Card Stock: Calypso Coral, Whisper White
  • DSP: Summer Smooches
  • Accessories: Boho Blossoms Punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Everyday Enchantment brads, Gold Brads, Petite Purse Die, Sticky Strip, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder

To make this little cutie I started off with a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" piece of Calypso Coral card stock and ran it through the Big Shot on the Petite Purse die. Then I cut a piece of Summer Smooches DSP just large enough to cut out the purse lid and ran that through the big shot on the Petite Purse die.

I adhere the DSP onto the flap of the purse and then ran the purse through the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. To do this you actually have to run it through the big shot twice to cover the entire purse with texture.  I used the Paper Piercer to pierce a hole in the top of both of the sides of the bag and the front of the bag just under the slit. Then you simply put a piece of sticky strip on the two side tabs, fold on the score lines, and adhere the tabs inside the front and back of the purse to form it. Super easy!

I used the Paper Piercer to pierce a hole in each end of the handle and then added the handle onto the bag with two Gold Brads. I then used the Boho Blossoms punch to punch out one large flower from Whisper White card stock and one medium flower from Calypso Coral card stock. I stacked the flowers together and pierced a hole in the center with the Paper Piercer and Mat Pack. I then inserted an Everyday Enchantment brad through the holes in the flower and the front of the box and spread the prongs on the inside of the box.

Now all you have to do is curl the flap of the purse a little bit with your fingers and insert the tab on the flap inside the slit on the purse. It may help a little to use your Paper Piercer to open up the slit on the purse a little bit.

Isn't this just adorable! I could easily see these being used as favors at birthday parties or a bridal shower! What would you use one of these little cuties for?

Thanks for stopping by!
