Friendly Flower

This card was created as a demo for a workshop that I held in May. This card was cased from a card created by Elizabeth Hurst. Sorry, I can’t find the link to the exact card, but you can find her blog HERE.

Stamps: All Holidays, Bella Toille
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive
Ink: Melon mambo, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Fun Flowers Die, Oval Punch, Glimmer Brad, Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Stampin’ Sponge, Needle Tool, Mat Pack, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder, Paper Crimper

The card base is Crumb Cake cardstock cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. The card front was stamped with the Bella Toile background stamp in Crumb Cake ink. Next the card front was run through the Big Shot in the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Folder. Then the raised pattern on the card front was sponged with Early Espresso ink. The greeting from All Holidays was stamped in Early Espresso ink in the lower right and corner of the card front inside the texture.

A piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock was cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and run through the Big Shot on the Fun Flowers die. The largest flower was run through the Big Shot again in the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. The other two flowers were run through the paper crimper. The edges of all three flowers were sponged with Melon Mambo ink and the flowers were adhered together.

The leaves were created by using an Oval Punch on a scrap of Old Olive cardstock, folding the oval in half length-wise, and running it through the paper crimper at an angle. Unfold the oval an you have your textured leaf. Two of these were adhered to the back of the largest flower. The Needle Tool and Mat Pack were used to pierce a hole in the center of the flowers and a Glimmer Brad was added. The flower was adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Although it look like there are a lot of steps to this card there really isn’t. Thanks for stopping by!
