For the May Make and Take, other than the wedding/graduation card, I focused on masculine cards that could be used for Father’s Day, birthday, or any other occasion when you need a guy card. So here is the second card for the May Make and Take. I knew I wanted to use the Sail Away stamp from the Summer Mini, so here is what I came up with.
Stamps: Sail Away, Upsy Daisy, Sanded
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Poppy Parade, Baja Breeze
DSP: Elegant Soiree
The card base is Sahara Sand cardstock cut at 4 ¼” x 11” and scored at 5 ½”. The Sanded background stamp was used with Not Quite Navy ink to add some pattern to the card base. A piece of Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper was cut at 2 ½” x 4 ¼” and was adhered to a 2 5/8” x 4 ¼” piece of Not Quite Navy cardstock. The greeting from Upsy Daisy was stamped in Basic Black ink in the lower right hand corner of the panel. The Needle Tool and Mat Pack were used to pierce three holes to the left of the greeting where three Gold Brads were added. This panel was then adhered to the card front.
A piece of Whisper White cardstock was cut at 3” x 3”. Next I used a size D clear block as a stamp. Inked it up with Baja Breeze ink, and stamped it onto the Whisper White cardstock. Cool effect huh? Next I stamped the Sail Away image in Basic Black ink. The edges were sponged with Not Quite Navy ink and then this was adhered to a 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” piece of Baja Breeze cardstock. Next the panel was adhered to a 3 3/8” x 3 3/8” piece of Poppy Parade cardstock. Then it was adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I really love how this one turned out with the stripes and the pop of Poppy Parade! The ladies all loved it too! Come back tomorrow to see the next card from the May Make and Take. Also, don’t forget to enter to win the Blog Candy that I have posted HERE!
