Christmas Lodge

This is the fourth card and the final project from the October make and take. To be honest when I saw this set in the mini catalog I loved it immediately! But, I wasn’t sure how I would actually use it on a project, so I held off on buying it moving it to the bottom of my wish list. After seeing what some other stamping geniuses have done with this set I decided to go ahead and get it. So here it the card that we made using this fabulous set!

Stamps: Christmas Lodge, Bells and Boughs

Cardstock: Soft Suede, Whisper White, Always Artichoke

DSP: Frostwood Lodge
Ink: Soft Suede, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon, Perfect Pennants Die, 2 ½” Circle Punch, Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive, Dazzling Diamonds, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals

The card base is Soft Suede cardstock cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. The tree image was stamped three times across the top of the card in Soft Suede ink. A piece of Whisper White cardstock was cut at 2 5/8” x 4 ¼”. One of the long sides was punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. A 2 ¼” x 4 ¼” piece of Frostwood Lodge DSP was adhered on top of the Whisper White cardstock. This panel was adhered to the card front.

A Hobby Blade was used to cut the fold of the card where the ribbon was going. The Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon was threaded through the slit in the fold, wrapped around the card front, and tied into a bow.

The house image from Christmas Lodge was stamped in Soft Suede ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. The greeting from Bells and Boughs was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink just below the house. You want the greeting really close if not overlapping the house image a little so that it will fit inside the 2 ½” Circle Punch. The house was punched out with the 2 ½” Circle punch. A piece of Always Artichoke cardstock was cut at 3” x 3” and was run through the Perfect Pennant die on the larger scalloped circle medallion. The stamped circle was adhered to the Always Artichoke scalloped circle.

The roof sections of the house were covered with a thin layer of Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive and Dazzling Diamonds glitter was poured on top. The excess glitter was tapped off. After the glue dried the scalloped circle was adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
