Lovely and Lacy

Good morning! I have have another Make and Take card from this month to share with you. It features some awesome Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration goodies. Take a gander...

  • Crumb Cake card stock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2"
  • Elegant Eggplant card stock 3-1/8" x 4-3/8"
  • Whisper White card stock 3" x 4-1/4"
  • Silver Baker's Twine 23"
  • Stamps: Something Lacy, Lotus Blossom, Bloom with Hope
  • Ink: Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Elegant Eggplant, Wild Wasabi
  • Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals

Don't you just love that lotus blossom? So pretty and yet so easy! No coloring here, just good ole stamping!

So to start off fold the Crumb Cake card stock on the score line. Then stamp the gorgeous Something Lacy background image onto the card front in Wisteria Wonder ink. Now set it aside and grab the piece of Whisper White card stock. When you open up the Lotus Blossom stamp set you will see that there is a number next to each of the images that shows the order they should be stamped in. So take the #1 stamp and stamp it onto your Whisper White card stock in Perfect Plum ink.

Hint: The tab or arrow portion on the stamp points to the top of the flower.

Now stamp the #2 image in Wisteria Wonder ink. Finally stamp the #3 image in Wisteria Wonder ink again, but this time stamp the image off onto scrap paper before stamping it onto your flower. Taa daa! You have a positively gorgeous flower! Oh, and if you want the flower to have more contrast and look more amazing, stamp the #1 image in Elegant Eggplant instead. One of the ladies at the Make and Take did this by accident but the flower looked so much better and more amazing.

For the stem stamp the solid image in Wild Wasabi by stamping off onto scrap before stamping on your Whisper White card stock. Then stamp the sketchy stem image in full strength Wild Wasabi ink. Then just stamp the greeting in Elegant Eggplant.

In case you're wondering what happens when you have a cat that likes to lay on your Stampin' Scrub if you leave it laying open then take a look at the greeting above. You get super fine cat hair stuck to your stamps that is nearly impossible to see but it still stamps...

Now glue this beautifully stamped flower card stock piece onto the piece of Elegant Eggplant. Stick this onto the front of your card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Now take your Silver Baker's Twine and wrap it around the card front and tie it into a bow.

For the inside stamp the greeting in Elegant Eggplant ink. Then stamp the flower image from Bloom with Hope a few times in Wisteria Wonder ink.

Done! A gorgeous yet easy card ready to go in the mail or go in your stash! So what do you think about this amazing Lotus Blossom stamp set? What about the beautiful lacy background stamp? So many new toys to love!
