Today I have the final card from the January Make and Take to share with you. This one is very much a Mixed Media inspired card. It was inspired by this card made by Rita at Rita's Creations. I changed it up a bit though...
- Smoky Slate card stock 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2"
- Whisper White card stock 4" x 5-1/2"
- Whisper White card stock 3" x 3"
- Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper 1-1/4" x 3"
- Stamps: Four You, Gorgeous Grunge, Bloom with Hope
- Ink: Soft Sky, Pacific Point, Night of Navy, Versamark, Basic Black
- Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Stampin' Dimensionals, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Arrows embossing folder, Stampin' Sponges
Start off by folding the Smoky Slate card stock on the score line. Then run the Whisper White card stock through the Big Shot in the Arrows embossing folder. Glue this layer onto the card front with some glue stick. Now onto the pretty panel.
Rub the Embossing Buddy all over your small piece of Whisper White card stock. Then stamp the Hello from Four You, the flowers from Bloom with Hope, and the small splatter from Gorgeous Grunge onto the card stock in Versamark ink. Cover the stamped images with clear embossing powder, tap off the excess, and heat with your Heat Tool.
Now take a Stampin' Sponge and sponge Soft Sky ink across the panel at an angle.
Now Sponge Pacific Point ink in the corners and blend it with the Soft Sky ink, but don't cover the Soft Sky ink completely. Stamp the splatter image a couple times in Pacific Point ink.
Now sponge the corners with Night of Navy card stock making sure not to cover the Pacific Point ink entirely. Stamp the splatter image a couple times in Night of Navy ink.
Finally sponge around the edges with Basic Black ink and take a paper towel to rub the ink off the embossed images. Your mixed media inspired panel is complete!
Take the Scallop Edge Border punch and use it on one of the long edges of the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper. Use multipurpose liquid glue to adhere the scalloped glimmer paper behind the left edge of your blue panel.
Now wrap a piece of Whisper White Baker's Twine around the panel and tie it into a bow.
Use a few Stampin' Dimensionals to stick this panel onto the front of your card.
For the inside stamp the flower image in Night of Navy ink then stamp the splatter image several times in Soft Sky and Pacific Point ink. Glue this piece inside your card with glue stick.
