Fabulous Peach Florets

Today I am going to share with you the card I made for the SCCSC71 Sketch Challenge on Stampin’ Connection. This sketch was created by Susie Nelson. Here is the sketch:

And here is my card:

Stamps: Fabulous Florets
Cardstock: Peach Parfait, Cajun Craze, Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Black Stazon
Markers: Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Blender Pen, Basic Black\
Accessories: 1 ¼” Striped Real Red ribbon, Basic Rhinestones Jewel Accents, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder

The card base is Peach Parfait cardstock cut at 5 ½” x 8 ½” and scored at 4 ¼”. The card front was run through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. A piece of Whisper White cardstock was cut at 2 3/8” x 3 7/8”. The leaves from Fabulous Florets were stamped in Old Olive twice and Always Artichoke once on the Whisper White cardstock.

The stamped Whisper White cardstock was then adhered to a piece of Cajun Craze cardstock that was cut at 2 ½” x 4”. I took two of my scraps of 1 ¼” Striped Real Red ribbon that were each about 3 inches long and adhered the ends together with Sticky Strip to create a loop. Each loop was adhered to the backside of the Cajun Craze cardstock with more Sticky Strip. The Cajun Craze panel was adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The flowers were stamped in Black Stazon onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock. The flowers were colored in with the Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, and Blender Pen markers. The flowers were carefully cut out with Paper Snips. Another thing I like to do when I cut out any stamped shape is to color the edges to make them not stand out so much. In this case I used Basic Black to color the edges since the image already has a black outline. But you could also have used Daffodil Delight if you don’t want your edges to stand out as much.

The flowers were adhered to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Rhinestones were added to each corner to give the card front a little more sparkle. That’s it! I hope you’ve enjoyed this sketch!
