Fall Wreath

Here is the fourth and final card from the September Make and Take! This one features the lovely Wondrous Wreath bundle to make a fall wreath.

  • Crumb Cake card stock 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2"
  • Early Espresso card stock 3" x 5-1/2"
  • Pool Party card stock 2-3/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Very Vanilla card stock 1-1/4" x 2-3/4"
  • Mossy Meadow Ribbon 10"
  • Very Vanilla card stock 3-1/2" x 3-1/2"
  • Stamps: Wondrous Wreath, Hardwood, Sassy Salutations
  • Ink: Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow, Versamark
  • Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, Wondrous Wreath Framelits, Pearl Basic Jewels, Gold embossing powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool

Start off by folding the Crumb Cake card stock on the score line. Next use the Hardwood stamp on the Pool Party card stock in Coastal Cabana ink. I know, I know.... this is actually a retired background stamp, but I just love it! They were wrong to get rid of it! I just... can't... quit... using it!

Okay, back to the card. Stamp the greeting from Sassy Salutations onto the small piece of Very Vanilla card stock in Crushed Curry ink. Use glue stick to adhere this onto the bottom of the Pool Party card stock. Glue the Pool Party layer onto the Early Espresso card stock.

Now wrap your beautiful Mossy Meadow ribbon around the panel covering up the top of the Very Vanilla card stock and tie the ribbon into a knot. Use Paper Snips to trim the ends of the ribbon nice and neat. Then glue this panel onto the card front with more glue stick.

Next up is the wreath! Take the larger piece of Very Vanilla card stock and use a pencil or pen to place a mark in the middle of one of the sides. That mark will be where you line up the little tab on the stamps and on the framelits. So stamp the full wreath image in Crushed Curry ink. Then stamp the second image with just a few leaves in Tangelo Twist ink. Dry the ink real quick with your Heat Tool then rub your Embossing Buddy all over the card stock. Stamp the berries or dot image onto the wreath in Versamark ink. Cover the stamped berries with Gold embossing powder, tap off the excess, and heat it with your Heat Tool until it's nice and shiny.

Now take your wreath to the Big Shot and use the wreath framelits to cut out the shape. Stamp the bow image onto a scrap of Mossy Meadow card stock in Mossy Meadow ink. Cut out the bow with the matching framelit then glue the bow onto the wreath. Add a large pearl into the center of the bow.

Finally, stick the wreath onto the card front with a few Stampin' Dimensionals.

That's it! You now have a beautiful fall wreath card!

Raining Flowers

Doesn't this card just look so pretty and luxurious? Well it's easier than you think to put together.

  • Melon Mambo card stock 4-1/4" x 11"
  • Pink Pirouette card stock 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Vellum card stock 3-3/4" x 5"
  • Whisper White Organza Ribbon 15"
  • Stamps: Flower Shoppe, Lots of Thanks
  • Ink: Versamark, Rich Razzleberry
  • Accessories: Melon Mambo Blendabilities, White embossing powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Paper-Piercing Tool, Silver Mini Brads, Labels Framelit, XL Oval Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

To start off on this card take your piece of Vellum card stock and rub the embossing buddy over the entire thing. Now stamp the flower image from Flower Shoppe onto the Vellum in Versamark ink several times. Cover the stamped images with White embossing powder. Tap off the excess embossing powder then heat with your Heat Tool until shiny.

Now that you have the embossing done flip your Vellum card stock over to the side opposite the embossing. Color in the flowers from the backside with the Melon Mambo Blendabilities markers. Start off with the lighter color and work the darker shades in closer to the center of the flowers.

Now take this layer and place it on top of the Pink Pirouette card stock on top of your Stampin' Pierce Mat. Pierce a hole in all four corners of the Vellum card stock and add a Silver Mini Brad into each of the holes. Next fold your Melon Mambo card stock on the score line and adhere the flowers panel onto the card front with a few Stampin' Dimensionals. Wrap the Whisper White Organza ribbon around the card front and tie it into a knot. Use your Paper Snips to trim the ribbon ends into a dove-tail shape.

Stamp the greeting from Lots of Thanks onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock and punch it out with the XL Oval punch. Use the smallest Labels framelit on a scrap of Melon Mambo card stock. Glue the oval onto the label then stick this onto the card front with a couple Stampin' Dimensionals.

Now you're done! That wasn't so bad was it?

Autumn Thanks

Here is the second card from the September Make and Take. Are you ready to get inky?

Start off by folding the Soft Sky card stock on the score line. Then run the card front through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Use Paper Snips to trim one end of the DSP into a dove-tail shape and glue it onto the left side of the card front so the bottom of the banner is about 1/2" up from the bottom of the card.

Now take the small piece of Very Vanilla card stock and rub the Embossing Buddy all over. Stamp the image from Seasonally Scattered onto the card stock in Versamark ink. Cover the stamped image with clear embossing powder and tap off the excess. Heat it with the Heat Tool until its nice and shiny. Now take your Stampin' Sponges and sponge on ink working from right to left starting with Crushed Curry ink, then Pumpkin Pie, then Cajun Craze. Now take a paper towel and wipe the ink off of the greeting. Admire your wonderful stamping.

Now glue this onto the larger piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Now use the Scallop Edge Border Punch on one long edge of the Mossy Meadow card stock. Glue the greeting layer onto the top of the Mossy Meadow card stock. Wrap the Early Espresso Taffeta ribbon around the panel and tie it into a bow. Now glue the panel onto the card front with a few Stampin' Dimensionals.

To dress up the inside a bit use the swirl stamp from Everything Eleanor and stamp it a couple times in Crushed Curry ink.

That's it!

Use glue stick to adhere this onto the Cherry Cobbler card stock. Now fold your Whisper White card base on the score line and use glue stick to adhere the stars/Cherry Cobbler layer onto the card front.

Use the 1-3/4" Circle punch on a scrap of Trim the Tree DSP and glue the circle onto the card front. Use Paper Snips to trim one end of the DSP banner into a dove-tail shape. Now glue this onto the card front. Stamp the tree image from Festival of Trees onto a scrap of Old Olive card stock in Garden Green ink. Use the Tree Punch to punch out the tree and add it onto the card with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Use the small star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack on a scrap of Champagne Glimmer Paper. Glue the star onto the top of the tree. Now stamp the greeting from Festival of Trees onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock in Garden Green ink. Use the Bitty Banner Framelit in the Big Shot to cut out the greeting and stick it onto the card front with a couple Stampin' Dimensionals.

Finally add Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details onto the ornaments of the tree and allow it to dry completely.

I just love all the layers on this!

Merry Christmas Tree

I'm back with the final card from the August Make and Take. This one is a quick and pretty Christmas card that combines Blackberry Bliss with Old Olive instead of the traditional red and green.

  • Crumb Cake card stock 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2"
  • Very Vanilla card stock 3-3/4" x 5-1/2"
  • Sweet Taffy DSP 3-5/8" x 5-1/2"
  • Mellow Moss card stock 2-3/8" x 4-3/8"
  • Very Vanilla card stock 2-1/4" x 4-1/4"

  • Stamps: Evergreen, Really Good Greetings
  • Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Baked Brown Sugar, Versamark
  • Accessories: Gold embossing powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Champagne Glimmer Paper, Star punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

For this lovely Christmas card start off by folding the Crumb Cake card stock on the score line. Use Glue stick to adhere the Sweet Taffy DSP onto the large piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Then glue this onto the card front with more glue stick.

Now take the small piece of Very Vanilla card stock and stamp the filled in tree image from Evergreen onto the top portion of the card stock in Baked Brown Sugar ink. Rub the Embossing Buddy all over the card stock then stamp the line image of the tree in Versamark ink right on top of  the Baked Brown Sugar tree. Cover the stamped image with Gold embossing powder, tap off the excess and heat it with your Heat Tool.

Next stamp the greeting from Really Good Greetings onto the bottom of the tree panel in Blackberry Bliss ink. Use glue stick to adhere this layer onto the Mellow Moss card stock. Wrap the Blackberry Bliss ribbon around the panel and tie it into a knot. Then Stick this down onto the card front with a few Stampin' Dimensionals. Use the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack on a piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper. Glue the star onto the top of the tree and your card front is finished.

To dress up the inside stamp just the line image of the tree in Baked Brown Sugar ink and punch out another glimmery star to glue onto the top.

Now you have a quick and easy Christmas card all done and ready for next Christmas!

Work of Art

Here is the fourth card from the August Make and Take. This one is really super simple and really cute.

  • Strawberry Slush card stock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
  • Whisper White card stock (2) at 4" x 5-1/4"
  • Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon 20"
  • Stamps: Work of Art, Everything Eleanor
  • Ink: Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Stazon
  • Accessories: Rhinestone Basic Jewels
Take one of the pieces of Whisper White card stock and stamp the brush image in Coastal Cabana ink. To get the faded brushstroke look ink up the stamp once then stamp the image four times without inking again. Then take the larger brush stroke image and stamp it in Daffodil Delight ink. Stamp the heart in the lower right hand corner in Strawberry Slush ink. Then stamp the greeting and the swirl from Everything Eleanor onto the card front in Stazon ink. Then glue this panel onto the card front with glue stick.

Add a large Rhinestone Basic Jewel onto the heart to add a little bit of sparkle. Now take the piece of Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon and wrap it around the card front then tie it into a bow.

To dress up the inside take the other piece of Whisper White card stock and repeat the stamping that you did on the front, but keep the images to the lower right hand corner so you have space to actually write a message inside the card.

That's it! Super simple.

On a side note... do you know what happens when you don't pay attention to the fact that Photoshp Lightroom rotated your photo when you imported it and you add the watermark? You end up with photos that have watermarks in odd locations... and I was too lazy to redo it. So there you go!
