When I was working up ideas for these adorable onsite invitations I also came up with this cute version as another option.
Now glue the Silver Glimmer Paper right at the edge of the DSP with 2-Way Glue Pen. Then stick this whole beautiful panel onto the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
That's all there is too it! The coloring really is the thing that takes the longest. But it is so cute!
- Pool Party card stock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4"
- Smoky Slate 4" x 5-1/4"
- Very Vanilla 3-3/4" x 5-1/8"
- Polka Dot Parade DSP 2" x 3-3/4"
- Silver Glimmer Paper 1/8" x 3-3/4"
- Stamps: Baby Bundle, You're Invited
- DSP: Polka Dot Parade
- Ink: Stazon, Versamark
- Markers: Pool Party, Soft Sky, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, Summer Starfruit
- Accessories: Tempting Turquoise embossing powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, Silver Glimmer Paper, Stamping' Dimensionals
However, I'm pretty sure I would have hated coloring in this card 15 times over. So I'm glad this on wasn't chosen. It's still super cute though and would make an adorable congrats card.
To make this start off by folding the Pool Party card stock on the score line. Take the Very Vanilla card stock and use the fine point of the Smoky Slate marker to draw three clotheslines. If you draw them quickly you will get more smooth lines. Now stamp the images from Baby Bundle in Stazon ink so it looks like they are hanging on the clothesline. Color in the images with the markers.
Use some glue stick to glue the Very Vanilla onto the Smoky Slate card stock. Now take the Polka Dot Parade DSP and stamp the greeting from You're Invited in the lower right hand corner in Versanark ink. Cover the stamped image with Tempting Turquoise embossing powder, tap off the excess, and heat it with your Heat Tool until it's nice and shiny. The embossed turquoise greeting really pops against the cute Daffodil Delight polka dot paper. Use glue stick to glue this onto the bottom of the Very Vanilla card stock.
