To My Friend

Good afternoon everyone! I have another project to share with you! This card was created for the SCCSC120 sketch challenge on Stampin' Connection. You also get a little bit of a sneak peak at some of the new goodies from the new catalog that you will get to see on June 1st!

• Accessories: Clear Oval Accents Die, Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain ribbon, Blossom Punch, Rhinestones, Stampin' Sponge, Mini Glue Dots

Here is the sketch that was created by yours truly: 

I started off with a piece of Whisper White card stock cut at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4". Then I cut a piece of Gumball Green card stock 4" x 5-1/4". I stamped the leaves image from Papaya Collage in Gumball Green ink several times on the left side of the card stock. Then I wrapped a piece of Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain ribbon around the card stock and tied it into a bow.

Next I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 4-1/2" x 5-1/2" and ran it through the Big Shot on the Clear Oval Accents die. I used a Stampin' Sponge with Summer Starfruit ink to sponge around the edges of the beautiful oval. I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Midnight Muse ink on the left side of the oval. Then I adhered the oval onto the Gumball Green layer and used Paper Snips to trim the oval even with the edge of the Gumball Green card stock. I adhered this panel onto the card front.

Now for the beautiful butterfly. I used the detailed flower image from Mixed Bunch and inked up the stamp first with Summer Starfruit. Then I used the Rock-N-Roll technique with some Gumball Green ink before stamping the flower onto a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock. I punched out the flower with the Blossom punch then used Paper Snips to cut out two of the petals to make it look like a butterfly.

I adhered the butterfly onto the card front with a Mini Glue Dot and then added some Rhinestones to create the butterfly's body and add a bit of sparkle.

I really love how this card, and the butterfly, turned out! What do you think?

Butterfly Candy Holder

Good morning! Now i have the 3D project from the May Make and Take to share with you! I wanted to do a cute little candy holder so here it is. On this project we are also saying goodbye to the Round Tab Punch, Butterfly Prints, Peach Parfait, and Flight of the Butterfly.

• Stamps: Butterfly Prints, Flight of the Butterfly
• Card Stock: Not Quite Navy, Whisper White, Cajun Craze
• Ink: Peach Parfait, Cajun Craze, Not Quite Navy
• Accessories: XL Oval Punch, Round Tab Punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Gold Brads, Mini Glue Dots, Sticky Strip

I used the tutorial from Stamping 411 that you can find HERE to cut and score the card stock. I cut two pieces of Whisper White card stock 2-1/2" x 2-3/4" to use instead of the DSP used in the tutorial. I stamped the butterflies from Flight of the Butterfly all over both pieces of card stock in Peach Parfait and Cajun Craze ink. Then these panels were adhered onto the outside flaps of the candy holder.

For the middle butterfly I stamped the image from Butterfly Prints onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock in Not Quite Navy ink. I punched out the butterfly with the Butterfly Punch (retired last year) and adhered the butterfly onto the candy holder front with a Mini Glue Dot.

I used Cajun Craze for the Round Tab Punch with Gold Brads for the top. Also, instead of using a dove candy I had Peppermint Patties. Other than that I followed Connie's tutorial. What do you think of this little cutie?

Sparkly Birthday Owl

Good morning everyone! I hope you're all having a great weekend! This is a card that I made quite a while ago with my niece Gabrielle. She wanted to make a card and needed a birthday card for a friend of hers. So this is what we came up with! 

• Stamps: Distressed Dots, Teeny Tiny Wishes
• Card Stock: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Poppy Parade, Bashful Blue
• Ink: Night of Navy, Poppy Parade
• Accessories: Owl Punch, Silver Glimmer Paper, Rhinestones, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (four petal flower), Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Stampin' Dimensionals, 5/8" Night of Navy Satin Ribbon

To start off this card I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored it at 4-1/4". I stamped the Distressed Dots background in Night of Navy ink onto the card front. Then I cut a 2-7/8" x 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock and ran it through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. I adhered the textured Whisper White card stock onto a 3" x 4-1/4" piece of Poppy Parade card stock.

I wrapped a piece of 5/8" Night of Navy ribbon around the panel then adhered this onto a 3-1/2" x 4-1/4" piece of Night of Navy card stock before adhering it onto the card front. I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes onto a scrap of Whisper White card stock in Poppy Parade ink. Then I punched it out with the Word Window punch. I used the Modern Label punch on a scrap of Night of Navy card stock and adhered the two labels together.

I wanted to add a touch of Bashful Blue to this card so I punched out two four petal flowers with the punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and adhered them together. A rhinestone was added to the center for some sparkle and I adhered this flower next to the greeting. Then I adhered the greeting label onto the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

To make the cute little owl I used the Owl punch with Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Basic Black, Night of Navy, and Silver Glimmer Paper scraps. I used a Two-Way Glue Pen to adhere the pieces of the owl together. There still wasn't enough sparkle on this card so I gave my sweet little owl a tiara with four Rhinestones and adhered her onto the card front with a Stampin' Dimensional.

It was so much fun getting to put this together with my niece. She told me later that her friend really liked the card too!

Goodbye Upsy Daisy!

Upsy Daisy is one of my all time favorite go-to stamps. I love the flower silhouettes and those bold greetings that are great for so many occasions! It will be hard not reaching for this set every time I want a small yet bold greeting! So here is the card that we made at the May Make and Take to say goodbye to Upsy Daisy, Heard From The Heart, Blushing Bride, Versamarker, and Satin Ribbon!

• Stamps: Upsy Daisy, Heard From The Heart
• Card Stock: Basic Gray, Blushing Bride
• Ink: Basic Gray, Versamark
• Accessories: Embossing Buddy, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Versamarker, 5/8" Basic Gray Satin Ribbon, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponge

To get this card started I cut a piece of Basic Gray card stock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored it at 4-1/4". I ran the card front through the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Next I cut a piece of Blushing Bride card stock 1-1/2" x 5-1/2" and stamped the greeting from I Heart Hearts in Basic Gray ink. This panel was adhered onto the bottom of the card front. I wrapped a piece of Basic Gray Satin Ribbon around the card front, tied it into a knot, and trimmed the ribbon ends.

Then I used my 2-1/2" circle punch on a scrap of Basic Gray card stock. I stamped the flowers from Upsy Daisy onto the cricle in Versamark ink, covered the stamped image with Embossing Powder, tapped off the excess powder, and heated it with my Heat Tool. Then I used the large end of the Versamarker to add shadows behind my flowers. I sponged around the edges of the circle with Basic Gray ink and then adhered the circle onto the card front.

That's it! Super fast and easy, and those daisies look wonderful! This card was inspired by Julie Day's card that I found on Pinterest. It took a little while but I found the link to the exact post with her card. Take a look!

Goodbye Medallion!

I really was surprised to the Medallion stamp on the retired list! I love, love, love this image! So I had to give it one last hurrah at the May Make and Take! In this card we are also saying goodbye to Thank You Kindly, Poppy Parade and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. Now on to the card!

• Ink: Versamark, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade
• Accessories: Fun Flowers Die, Embossing Buddy, White Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Brights Buttons, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Sponge

To start this card I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored it at 4-1/4". Next I cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 3" x 4-1/4". I stamped the Medallion image in Versamark ink, covered the stamped image with White Embossing powder, tapped off the excess powder, and heated it with my Heat Tool. Then I sponged the entire piece of card stock with Daffodil Delight ink which really makes the white Medallion stand out. This will also work with clear embossing powder, but I was out of that so I used White instead.

I adhered the Medallion panel onto a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" piece of Daffodil Delight card stock. Then this was adhered onto the card front. I stamped the greeting from Thank You Kindly in Poppy Parade ink in the lower right hand corner of the card front. Next I cut a piece of Pool Party DSP 1" x 4-1/4" and adhered it onto the card front.

Now all that's left is the flower! For that I cut a piece of Poppy Parade card stock 3" x 3" and a piece of Daffodil Delight card stock 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" and ran both through the Big Shot on the Fun Flowers die. I used the middle and smallest flower on the die for this card. I used the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch on a scrap of Whisper White card stock to punch out the most detailed flower. I adhered the flowers together and added it onto the card front with a couple Stampin' Dimensionals. Then just for another little splash of blue I adhered a Brights Button into the center of the flower with a Stampin' Dimensional.

I really love how Pool Party looks with Daffodil Delight. This is a color combo I will definitely have to use in the future! What do you think? Are you sad to see the Medallion going away?
